Our New Number Is.......Niobium?

Our new number is 41!  The same as the element Niobium.  Niobium is used in the production of special metal alloys where it is used to increase the strength of steel.  One of its uses in the construction of jet and rocket engines.

So, as I think about the number 41 and Niobium, I also think about our little girl.  Our little girl is obviously special in God's eyes and will be used to increase the strength of our family - all through God's grace and plan as He mercifully works in our lives.  God's refining power and love are manifested daily upon us as though we were being thrust upon by a rocket engine.  Fired upon by Him to create vessels useful for His service.

I also reflected today on Psalm 41.  Catch the power here from verses 1, 2, and 13:

Blessed is the one who considers the poor!
In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;
the Lord protects him and keeps him alive;
he is called blessed in the land;
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting!
Amen and Amen.

God has a heart for the poor and needy.

I also wanted to include pics from Heather's b-day gift.  It goes great with the Show Hope shirt she got at the Christian Alliance for Orphans conference in Minneapolis in April.

Happy Birthday Bo!!  I Love You!!

  5. I love your shirt and necklace! I had a necklace like it but I let my little Dimples wear it when I was in Ethiopia and she lost it. So sad. I knew it was a risk, but I also knew it would help her while I was gone.

    It's good to stop by and see your progress. When I eventually update my blogroll, I'll be sure to add your blog.
