An interesting fact I found on Wikipedia (latin word for "it's gotta be true") is that the capital city Addis Ababa has an elevation of 7,546 feet. That's a couple of thousand feet above Denver, CO. It is high, arid, and near the equator. This makes the temperatures very mild year around.
